Better than expected. The only negative is seeing the details and exact colors in the app. I ordered a pair of jeans and they arrived a color I will not wear. Thankfully, there return policy is great and I had a new pair made up and just ordered another pair to go along with it! Perfect for people with odd-shaped bodies.
The service is solid. I haven't had to return anything yet and the shirts are among the best fitting I own. The button down shirts are better than the pullovers, in my opinion. As much as I like the fit and feel of the former, I feel like the material in the latter just isn't up to snuff. It's not bad, just bland. Going to keep using the service, I think. I'm gearing up to pick up a whole suit.
Very good overall experience. MTailor was very good at customer service and without hesitation redid the two pieces I ordered until they got them right. The app works reasonably well to get the 360 of your body in order to get custom measurements. Of course you cannot get a sense of the fabrics used ahead of time, but this is where the complementary redo of pieces is great. I do wish that the default fabrics were not so fine (thin) which may be what you want, but I like more robust clothing.
The MT measuring app is amazing, and the instructions on how to use it are very clear. It is hardly a quibble that the app did not get my nick size quite right. The only drawback is that you don't actually see the measurements unless you write to customer support. However, they happily send them. So if you are concerned about a particular measurement, that's what I would do. It saves the hassle of having to send back a product, which they happily let you do.
Instructions for taking measurements etc are in video form. After finding no captions, I wasn't able to use the app further... Being deaf, I would appreciate captions or perhaps a non video instructional option.
For most part, the fit is very good. However, the current estimates on two other items for which I placed orders are about one month!! Be prepared to wait and wait.
Can’t get the app to let me browse clothing options — I’m stuck on the first thing I clicked on: women’s jeans. There’s no option to go back and look at the whole catalogue of clothing options. Have tried closing the app and re-opening and the same problem persists. Will try deleting the app and starting over? That’s a lot of hassle though just to browse potential items of interest.
I give them a high score for their measurement tool, but it would seem they are at least 7 days in the build process. I hoped to have the shirt within 7 days...here again they missed the mark by not offering expedited shopping.. im sure the shirtwill be nice, but i wont get to wear it for the reason i purchased it... maybe their slogan should be “ great tailor fit shirts when they can get to it.
The fit was just about perfect but the fabric was extremely poor in quality
Ordered 2 dress shirts. I am taller than average 6’4. And was excited to try. Although the lengths are decent, too tight a fit in middle, shoulders, and arms. I lift weights and no change was done for a slightly thicker build. Too tight. Was worth a try but does not actually customize.
Shirt did not fit
The first pair of jeans I received did not fit at all — too big at the waist and too short in the legs. That said, they were very helpful in correcting the issue, and they did ultimately send me a pair that fit nicely. Nor did I have to return the original pair. But why are black or dark blue jeans $40 more than light blue?
